Vodka Sauce

6 - 8 garlic cloves - crushed
1/2 cup onion - chopped
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup Vodka
1 28 oz. can Crushed Tomatoes ( I use Cento brand)
1/2 cup heavy cream
basil, oregano and pepper


  1. Saute garlic and onions in butter
  2. Add crushed tomatoes, vodka and seasonings.
  3. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to simmer for 45 min.
  4. Add heavy cream and cook 10 min. longer on low.
  5. Serve over penne or rigatoni pasta.
