Chocolate Walnut Pie

1 ready to use refrigerated pie crust
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup walnuts, chopped
1/2 stick salted butter, melted
1/2 cup light brown sugar
3/4 cup Karo syrup (light or dark)
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla


  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Place pie crust into pie dish.
  3. Mix remaining ingredients and pour into pie crust.
  4. Bake in lower level of oven for 35 - 45 min.
  5. Let cool completely

*To Decorate: Use remaining pie crust dough to cut out shapes. Brush each side of cut out with whisked egg. Place in center of pie or along crust. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake.
