Asian Baked Tilapia

2 large tilapia fillets
3 cloves garlic
1 jalapeno (deseeded and sliced)
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
2 Tbs. brown sugar
2 Tbs. soy sauce
1/4 cup white wine (I use the cheap stuff)
1 tsp. sesame oil
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
1 lime (cut in half and squeezed)
4 Tbs. peanuts (for garnish)
green onions (sliced for garnish)


  1. Place garlic, jalapeno, ginger, brown sugar, cilantro, lime juice, soy sauce, white wine and sesame oil in food processor and blend until well mixed. 
  2. Wash and dry fillets. Place in a small shallow baking dish and pour mixture over. 
  3. Bake in oven heated to 475 degrees for 10 -12 min. 
  4. Serve over brown rice. Top with sliced green onions, peanuts and more cilantro.
